11th Annual Illuminight Winter Walk
The 2025 Illuminight Winter Walk celebrates art, health, community, and the Skagit ecosystem!
Join us for this free community event in downtown Mount Vernon. There will be live music, art , and a luminary lit procession Bring your own luminary or make a paper bag luminary at Tri Dee Arts before the event. There will also be a limited number of luminaries available for purchase at the event.

Holiday Parade & Tree Lighting
Kick-off the Holiday Season and create family memories at Mount Vernon’s Annual Holiday Parade & Tree Lighting! Enjoy glittering floats, music, and lights from local organizations, schools & businesses, followed by Christmas carols and a tree lighting by none other than Santa Clause himself!
Parade starts at 5:00PM. This family-friendly event is sponsored this year by WECU and produced by the Mount Vernon Downtown Association with the help of the City of Mount Vernon. Continue celebrating the season by grabbing a bite to eat at our delicious restaurants and cafes afterwards!

Ladies Night Out
Stroll around Downtown Mount Vernon enjoying tastings from wineries across the state at over 10 participating downtown businesses! With over 30 wines to choose from you’ll be bound to find a favorite to take home. Ticket holders will be given exclusive access to special promotions and specials throughout the district that night, making it the perfect opportunity to get an early start on holiday shopping while supporting local. Gather your girl friends and join us for another amazing Ladies Night Out!
Trick or Treat on First Street
Join us for Downtown Mount Vernon’s Annual Trick-or-Treat, where families come downtown for a fun and safe alternative to neighborhood trick-or-treating. Bring your costumed kiddos (and selves!) and stroll around to grab goodies from participating businesses on Thursday, October 31, 2024.
Enter into our photo costume contest by tagging @mountvernonwa on Instagram or Facebook, winner gets a delicious downtown prize! :)
No worries if you can’t get there right at 4, trick or treating goes all the way until 6 so show up whenever you can!

Brewfest on the Skagit
The historic Lincoln Theatre has passed the reigns of BrewFest on the Skagit to the Mount Vernon Chamber of Commerce. We are honored to take on this long-standing Mount Vernon tradition. Cold beer, cider and wine, delicious food, and fantastic music. Pair that with leisure games, a view of the Skagit River, and you are guaranteed to have a blast. A portion of each ticket sold will go to the Lincoln Theatre Foundation to help keep live music, theatre, community events and film in the theatre throughout the year.

2024 MVHS Graduation Parade
The Class of 2024 Graduation Parade is scheduled for June 11th at 6pm! Students will start from the MVHS north parking lot and proceed through downtown Mount Vernon.

1st Annual Cinco de Mayo Parade
Hosted by MV Mariachi and Latinos in Action, this event will bring mariachis, folklorico dancers, dancing horses and more through the heart of downtown for a lively celebration of Cinco de Mayo. This inaugural event promises to be a fiesta like no other, bringing together the entire community to celebrate!
Parade will start down 1st Street in Downtown Mount Vernon right at 5pm so show up early and grab a good spot to watch!
