Building Vibrance

The Mount Vernon Downtown Association has embarked on a multi-tiered project to improve safety and enhance our Downtown streetscape through the evening and nighttime hours during the darkest months of the year.

Our Building Vibrance project lights the trees along S. 1st Street, between Division and Kincaid, and in Pine Square, creates a safer, more welcoming experience for shoppers, visitors, downtown employees, small business owners, and property owners alike. Our incredible downtown community helped us fund the project, recognizing that the beauty of tree lighting is unequaled in producing ambiance and a sense of wellbeing and vibrancy within our community. Come see our downtown sparkle!
