WHAT IS A CA$H MOB?
A CA$H MOB is a group of people who assemble at a local downtown business to make purchases. The purpose of these mobs is to support both the local downtown businesses and the overall community. They are a form of flash-mob and are inspired by them.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
The Mount Vernon Downtown Association’s CA$H MOB is a group of engaged community members that commit to spending $20 every 2nd Thursday of the month (beginning on March 19th, 2020) at a designated business in downtown Mount Vernon that will be randomly selected prior to each mobbing.
WHERE CAN I FIND INFORMATION ABOUT UPCOMING CA$H MOBS?
On the Mount Vernon Downtown Association Facebook page and the DOWNTOWN MV CA$H MOB Group Page! MVDA will post information about each upcoming CA$H MOB the Monday of the week of the mobbing.
WHAT IF I CAN ONLY PARTICIPATE SOMETIMES?
There is a group of 20-30 people that have committed to take part in each CA$H MOB and will form the core group. However, we will post information about each mobbing on our Facebook page, and anyone is welcome to participate! In fact, we encourage it! This is an opportunity to support our local downtown business community AND meet and network with others in the community.
