The News: Our county has been working hard to keep our community safe, using masks, social distancing, and now, getting vaccinated. Throughout this challenging year you have also made the commitment to support local businesses - on behalf of the MVDA - THANK YOU and keep up the good work.
Skagit County is well on our way with a robust vaccination program, with over 17% - and counting - of our community having received the first dose. Do you have a family member or friend that needs help getting signed up? The Skagit County Public Health vaccination hotline is open and staffed with amazing community volunteers from 8-5 Monday-Saturday. Call (360) 416-1500 to get started.
Downtown Spotlight: A little time for oneself makes a tremendous difference in helping us cope and de-stress during these strange times. As we weary quarantiners heed the call of a put-off hair cut, a massage, a classic straight-razor shave, or a facial, let us introduce you to two downtown businesses that put the CARE in Self Care.
First we visit Per Dona SalonSpa. Per Dona is a Downtown institution. Shannon, Julie and their team have been servicing clients at their current location for 18+ years. Per Dona is a full-service salon with a suite of offerings, and recently added medical aesthetics to their line-up.
Up next we visit Hair and Body Mechanix, where Aaron and his team offer hair and skin services, welcoming ALL to their modern barbershop. Hair and Body Mechanix is known for their classic steam towel treatment and killer scalp massage - something we can all use more of these days.
We’ll see you out and about in Downtown Mount Vernon!
