Main Street Moments Episode 7

This week introduce you to the Red Barn Art Pop-up with Katie Walton and Maria Pickering!

Welcome to the seventh episode of Main Street Moments where we spotlight local businesses and the latest downtown news.  You can find new episodes weekly at tmvwatch.com - be sure and subscribe to stay up-to-date with the latest happenings and highlights.

Downtown Spotlight: In 2019, the MVDA began an entrepreneurship development program: the Pop-Up MV, located at 325 W. Kincaid, just around the corner from The Lincoln Theatre. The Pop-Up MV is a business incubator space that allows new entrepreneurs an opportunity to test out a business idea without a long term lease or prohibitive start-up costs. The MVDA helps connect these entrepreneurs with resources and information to help them launch with the best chance of success.

Right now, art, artmaking, and creativity in all its forms are more important than ever. Today, we’d like you to meet our newest Pop-Up business, the Red Barn Art Pop-up. Starting April 1st, business partners Katie Walton and Maria Pickering invite you to visit and shop the wares of 15 local artisans and attend an Arty Party art class where you can learn a new craft among friends in a fun, low-key environment. The News: March 22, 2021 marks the beginning of Phase III across the state of Washington. This is a fantastic step forward for our businesses, with retail and restaurants allowed to operate at 50% capacity.

With the new vaccine from Johnson & Johnson added to the mix, and new shipments of all vaccines arriving weekly, Skagit County residents are getting vaccinated - helping restore our quality of life and more opportunities for shared experiences in our community.
