Ratios and the Renaissance
Fifth-graders, doing sixth-grade math, came to Mount Vernon earlier this year to paint a mural on the back of a downtown business as part of Mount Vernon’s Art in the Alleys project.
The resulting mural was the culmination of a math class project to understand and apply ratios and proportions, while also promoting bicycling through community art.
