Downtown meeting focuses on recruitment

MOUNT VERNON — Major downtown stakeholders, from business owners to avid shoppers and residents, recently came together to share what they love about their downtown and additions they would like to see as the district moves through a major revision.

At a casual gathering of approximately 35 at The Front Gallery and Event Room on March 25, attendees placed sticky notes on boards that posed a few questions about downtown: What brings you there, what do you miss, what should go in six empty retail spaces, and what does the future of downtown look like?
