A CA$H MOB is a group of people who assemble at a local downtown business to make purchases. The purpose of these mobs is to support both the local downtown businesses and the overall community. They are a form of flash-mob and are inspired by them.

In The Pop-up Mount Vernon! Dyanna Marshall founder of Safe Passage Tarot, hosts readings, private events, and classes in The Pop-up MV. Safe Passage Tarot sells crystals, Tarot kits, and other items.

In Good Spirit downtown Mount Vernon! Ken and Bob McLaughlin opened In Good Spirit in November 2019, just in time for the MVDA’s annual Ladies’ Night Out: Downtown Sip & Shop. In Good Spirit offers a unique and safe environment, filled with things to enrich the lives of customers and community

The Mount Vernon Downtown Association (MVDA) is excited to announce a new economic development initiative: The Pop-Up. The MVDA has entered a lease at 325 W. Kincaid Street to offer a space where entrepreneurs can test and refine a business or retail concept for a period of 30 to 120 days.

The Mount Vernon Downtown Association has embarked on a multi-tiered project to improve safety and enhance our Downtown streetscape through the evening and nighttime hours during the darkest months of the year, sponsored by downtown businesses and local families.

In 2019, Pure Salon & Wellness Spa celebrates seven years as a downtown Mount Vernon business. They relocated to their current location, the award-winning Polson Building, two years ago. Owners Amy Currie and Melissa Harris, both Skagit County raised.

The MVDA thank returning B&O Tax Credit Supporters Puget Sound Energy and Hair & Body Mechanix! PSE has been an MVDA partner for seven years. Downtown business Hair & Body Mechanix opened in 2013, and became a B&O partner to downtown in 2015.

Jen Absten, new owner of Pacioni’s Restaurant & Lounge, and manager, Amy Saben, recently shared with us how they’re keeping it local, and in the family. Jen purchased Pacioni’s just 18 months ago, after working in the kitchen for several years.
